Joan was 80 years old when she died on May 24, 2007. She was born in England on June 10, 1926. She served in the women’s air force of the British military in the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. She moved to the United States after the war and joined the Hollywood police force. She was a very generous person and had a great love for animals, especially horses, dogs and birds. She left a portion of her estate to organizations for the benefit of these animals.
Attorney Mark C. Olsen, who is serving as the personal representative of her estate, is certain that Mrs. Rigby would be very pleased that she was able to assist the Second Chance for Horses Rescue.
While we will never be able to express our gratitude to Mrs. Rigby in person, we are very pleased with her gift to us.
